The Journey Up

Polynesian Brints is where heritage and art collides. Specializing in custom quilts and wearable textiles, we bring together the beauty of traditional craftsmanship with modern design to create unique pieces. Each creation tells a story, whether it’s a custom quilt or an exclusive wearable art piece. Founded by a passionate team, Polynesian Brints was born from the desire to blend personal heritage with art.

Our founders, connected to their strong Polynesian roots, envisioned a space where textiles could reflect individual identity and shared histories. With a focus on blending tradition and innovation, they have built a brand that celebrates both cultural richness and modern design.

Maile Uluave Hiller, a founder and avid quilter found a passion for creating wedding, graduation, baby and T-Shirt quilts. When Maile began seeing beautiful Polynesian quilts and custom clothing at cultural events, her curiosity was sparked and her husband Mike knew from 30 years of experience this was her next adventure. She began to search for the creative designers behind the beauty. She discovered that Solo Mo'unga was the talented creator. Maile excitedly recognized the name and could recall the day baby Solo was born years ago. Her mom had been the nurse for his mom at his birth. Fast forward to today, he has grown into an incredible designer.

Business between the Mo'unga Family was inevitable; with Solo’s extensive print and quilting experience, cultural understanding, and Fanga's remarkable marketing skills and enthusiasm, Polynesian Brints was born. The combination of years of talent, experience, faith, and perseverance was the business partnership we had all been praying for.

At Polynesian Brints, we believe every client has a story to tell, just as our own story has evolved into an amazing partnership. We take pride in offering products that are both personal and timeless. Whether you’re drawn to the richness of cultural patterns or seeking something entirely custom, our team is dedicated to crafting pieces that reflect who you are.

Maile was raised in Provo and Mike in West Valley City, Utah. Both hold bachelors degrees from the University of Utah and Mike has an MBA and Masters Certificate in Finance from Westminster University. They have three kids, love the lake, boating and a good tropical beach.
